The WSAP is the showcase program of Business Professionals of America. It is a collection of competitive events that prepare students to succeed in real-life scenarios through problem solving applications. The WSAP includes over 80 different events which take place at regional, state, and national conferences.
The WSAP focuses on four broad topics: Finance, Information Technology, Administrative Support, and Management/Marketing/Human Resources. Some competitions require team efforts; other are individual. Written tests, face-to-face presentations, and hands-on activities are among the several formats by which WSAP events are conducted.
The program provides students with an opportunity to demonstrate their skills which they learn through business education curricula. The goals of the WSAP program include demonstrating occupational competencies; broadening knowledge, skills, and attitudes; expanding leadership and human relation skills; and expressing competitive spirit. In addition to the skills WSAP teaches our members, it rewards them with pride, confidence, and self-esteem. One of BPA's central philosophies is recognition for the outstanding accomplishments of its members
